The challenge

Client-Side UI engineer to join the adobe.com Web Platform team. It’s a fast-paced iterative environment partnering with UX/UI designers, content management engineers and QA to build responsive, modular, user experiences on adobe.com. Ideal candidates have a positive, problem-solving attitude, passion for technology and extensive XHTML/CSS development experience.
Education: Bachelor’s or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent required
Experience: 9 years of related experience; excellent communication skills, written and verbal; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
What you’ll do
Write standards-compliant interaction layer via advanced knowledge of JavaScript and CSS
Provide accurate estimates of work for Agile/SCRUM sprints
Apply extensive knowledge of the XHTML doctype and working knowledge of the HTML 5 doctype
Integrate dynamic UI with Java-based applications and real-time APIs
Work with a template/component-based content management system (Adobe Experience Manager – Content Management System)

Build scalable applications using Node.js, Bootstrap, Bower, Grunt, Jasmine, etc…
Provide Accessibility standards compliant, responsive designs for multi-screen centric solutions
Documentation (technical specifications, team processes etc…)
What you need to succeed
Strong command of CSS, HTML/XHTML, JavaScript, DOM, AJAX
Understand application architecture MVC patterns
Experience working on a large, high volume eCommerce marketing site with knowledge of performance, accessibility and security issues
Familiar with Adobe Experience Manager (Content Management System used on adobe.com)
Passion for User experience, UI design development, and emerging web technologies
Excellent analytical and programming skills
Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Operates with broad latitude for un-reviewed actions and decisions.
Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision at times and work in a managed team environment other times.
Be Self Starter and Proactive.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Experience with:
JavaScript frameworks (jQuery)
Agile/Scrum methodology Responsive Design DevOps (development and release management)
TDD (Test Driven Development)
JS Unit testing
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CQ Platform, working with rJava and JSP
Version management and bug tracking tools (such as JIRA)
Workflow tools such as Node.js, Bootstrap, Bower, Grunt, Jasmine, etc…
Interaction pattern libraries for client side solutions
Code optimization and software design principles
Interaction pattern libraries
